My Chelsea supporting pal reckons he had a big contract all set up with a Chinese team for a few years which he used to leverage a longer, better paid contract with Chelsea.
They apparently let him talk himself into saying 'I really want to stay with Chelsea' THEN made it public that they were offering him another year.
He's squealed about the longer deal in China and they've called his bluff and said he's free to go if he wants. If he takes the Chinese deal he fucks his legendary status up because now everyone knows they told him he could stay.
Quite clever really but for fuck sake- how much money do you actually need in life? Greedy cunt.
